When my daughter was born, my husband and I found that our film camera wasn't fast enough for her. We were getting blurry smiles and too many pictures that just didn't turn out. That is when we decided to get a new digital camera. It was an amazing different in the photos I was taking of our little family... we could then catch our sweet daughters smiles and fast movements and we could just delete any that didn't turn out.
I started taking pictures of friends and family, and Julio started teaching me the basics of Photoshop. Then came my first wedding... having the responsibility to capture a couples special day and do it well, made that day, probably, one of the most scary moments in my life. I lived through it and did well. Over the years, I've mainly taken photos for just family and friends, but occasionally take some for others. I try to work with people and their financial situations.
Our camera is a Nikon D60 SLR. It isn't the best or the biggest camera, but it takes beautiful pictures. Adobe Photoshop is my software of choice, for enhancing. I have only ever taken one photo class and that was back in high school, but I've been told that I have the eye for taking nice pictures. I'm not shy in saying that I'm an amateur photographer, but that doesn't stop me from taking photos that, I believe, are beautiful and fun. I would like to take photography classes, to expand my knowledge and experience.
